Privacy Policy
1. Who we are and scope
TradeMinds LLC, a company registered in the United States, operates TradeMinds, EdgeChats and the related account and subscription website at trademinds.app. Contact: support@trademinds.app. This policy describes these services; a feature with a separate privacy notice is subject to that additional notice.
On-device AI processing does not mean the entire app is offline. Sign-in, account verification, subscriptions, model downloads and diagnostic reporting use network services.
2. Conversations and device permissions
EdgeChats runs its on-device AI models locally. Prompts, replies and attachments used by those models are processed on your device and conversation history is stored locally. Ordinary on-device inference does not require sending conversation content to an external AI provider. Device backups, exports and sharing that you choose may create copies outside the app under the relevant service’s rules.
The website Laboratory translator is a separate online feature, not on-device EdgeChats inference. Text entered for translation, selected languages and model settings are sent to Cloudflare Workers AI. Translation can run automatically after typing pauses. Source text, translated text, language and model metadata are then saved to your TradeMinds account history on our backend when storage is available. The Laboratory provides controls to delete individual records or clear history. Do not enter confidential information you do not intend to send to this service.
Microphone access is used when you choose audio input; camera or photo access is used for the corresponding attachment feature. You can decline or revoke permissions in system settings, which may disable that feature. We do not treat acceptance of terms as permission to access protected device resources.
If a feature sends personal data to an external AI service, we will identify the recipient, purpose and data before transmission and request explicit permission. This policy is not blanket consent to such sharing.
3. Account, payment and download data
For email, Apple or Google sign-in, Firebase Authentication and the selected identity provider process authentication information. We receive information such as a user identifier, email address where provided, display name and sign-in provider, and use authentication tokens to verify access. Email passwords are handled by the authentication service; do not send passwords or verification codes to support.
We process plan, entitlement, allowance and usage totals, purchase or transaction identifiers, subscription status and renewal information to provide access, verify purchases, restore entitlements and prevent fraud. Apple handles App Store payments. Stripe handles website checkout where offered. We do not receive your full payment card number from those checkout flows.
Model and configuration downloads, account requests and website visits disclose network information such as IP address, request time and browser or client information to the receiving servers and hosting providers.
4. Diagnostics and website storage
The app and website automatically report errors and operational, performance and usage events to TradeMinds services. Reports can include account user ID when available, event time, app version and build, operating system, device hardware characteristics, model or backend identifiers, operation outcome, timing and diagnostic error details. Offline reports can be queued locally and sent when a connection returns.
We use these reports to investigate faults, measure performance, maintain service security and reconcile service operation. They are not a conversation backup. Reports may contain contextual error text; redaction attempts to remove credentials, email addresses and sensitive URL values, but cannot guarantee removal of every personal detail. Avoid putting secrets into error descriptions or support attachments.
The website uses browser storage and authentication state to support sign-in and account features. These are separate from chat history stored by the native app.
5. Purposes, legal grounds and recipients
We process data to deliver requested services and perform our agreement with you, maintain security and reliability where permitted by legitimate interests, comply with legal and accounting obligations, and obtain consent where required. You can withdraw consent for consent-based processing; withdrawal does not undo prior lawful processing.
Recipients include Google/Firebase for authentication, Apple or Google for the sign-in method you choose, Apple for App Store purchases, Stripe for website payments, and Cloudflare for website hosting, network delivery and Laboratory AI translation. They process the information needed for their roles under their applicable terms and privacy notices. Authorized infrastructure and support providers may process data on our behalf with access limited to service needs.
We do not sell personal information or use conversation content for targeted advertising. We may disclose information when legally required, to protect rights and safety, or in a business transfer subject to applicable privacy protections.
6. Retention, security and international processing
Local conversations remain until you delete them or remove the relevant app data; device or third-party backups may retain separate copies. Account records are kept while needed to operate your account. Transaction and accounting records may be kept after account closure where required by law. Diagnostics and security records are retained only as needed for fault investigation, security, dispute handling and applicable obligations, then deleted or de-identified. Retention depends on the record’s purpose and applicable requirements rather than a single fixed period. Website translation history and preferences are retained with your account until you remove them or request deletion, subject to required legal retention and separate backup copies.
We use safeguards including encrypted network connections, restricted access and credential protection. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. TradeMinds LLC and its providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Where required, applicable transfer safeguards and data protection requirements apply.
7. Your choices and requests
You can manage device permissions in system settings and remove local conversations in the app. Signing out does not itself delete an account or local history. To request access, correction, a copy, deletion, restriction or objection to processing, or to withdraw consent, contact support@trademinds.app. Rights depend on applicable law; we may verify identity and retain records that the law requires. You may complain to your local data protection authority.
For an account deletion request, include your account email or user ID, never your password. Contact support if an in-app deletion control is unavailable in your version. Account deletion does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription; manage it in your Apple subscription settings. Website subscriptions are managed through the website account and payment portal.
8. Children, updates and contact
The services are not directed to children under 13 or the higher age at which parental consent is required locally. If you believe a child has provided personal information improperly, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
We will publish updated policies with a revised date and provide additional notice or request consent for material changes where required. The in-app offline copy reflects the app release; the website provides the latest published version. Privacy questions: support@trademinds.app.
